Mapping Visible Human

Data from the Visible Human Project, an effort to create a detailed data set of cross-sectional photographs of the human body, in order to facilitate anatomy visualization applications. A prisoner on death row donated his body for scientific research for medical use. His cadaver was sectioned and photographed for the Visible Human Project by NIH.
